Jackie Allinson

Jackie Allinson is an experienced HSE consultant having served oil and gas sector multinationals since 1993; working and travelling in S.E Asia (based in Brunei); MENA, (based in Dubai). She is a postgraduate with degrees in Geology/Geography and Information Technology. She is also a certified coach and business continuity specialist.

In Brunei, Jackie was most proud of her work developing HSE Cases for offshore production platforms, oil rigs, refineries, gas plants, maritime and helicopter operations. This fantastic learning experience plus some great mentors, led her to become an expert in HSE risk management. Moving to Dubai, Jackie was initially involved in creating HSE processes and worker safety publications for Shell Iran project. She was then seconded into Qatar Shell to help execute a fastest ever project start-up. She handled all of the HSE provisions required to get a Greenfield drilling program underway. Armed with this experience, she did the same for Shell in Algeria, Libya and Egypt. She then consulted in Iraq for BP and in Dubai for Shell Markets Middle East on crisis, emergency response systems and business continuity.

Jackie achieved her first coaching certification in 2009, thereafter completing systems coaching training, workshop design and a one-year Leadership programme.

For Maersk Oil, she created a unique alignment workshop involving coaching skills, designed to define industry client / contractor relationships in their start-up phases. This ran for several years and covered more than eight separate major rig/service contracts and included all levels of management. Most recently in Oman, Jackie has focused on bringing a coaching approach into industry crisis and emergency response team leadership and training. Jackie is the author of three workbooks on coaching and has just completed the draft of a forth book with the working title “The Good HSE Book”.

Jackie is professional, dynamic, energetic and passionate and has spent her oilfield career defining innovative and inclusive processes, promoting cross-company communications, teamwork and individual empowerment as well as making workplaces safe, fair and comfortable in service of an incident-free environment.

Jackie is married, loves travelling, gardening and is a qualified chef.

Steve Allinson

Steve specialises in the area of Operational and Technical HSE implementation. With forty years of Oil & Gas experience to draw on, Steve brings in-depth knowledge of past and current industry practices from respected companies to enhance his clients risk management processes.

Steve is firmly committed to practical, implementable and realistic HSE methods and tools. Gaining belief from a company’s staff that HSE is ‘good for them personally’ and then commitment from them to do what is ‘right’ is always a goal of Steves consultancy.

Steve has worked with most of the major O&G industry companies engaged in work ranging from upstream exploration to downstream marketing. In helping to develop and implement best industry practices and always learning from his clients, Steve has the ability to germinate the industry ‘best ideas’ across all industry players. A notable achievement in this area for Steve and his colleagues has been the development of the Manual of Permitted Operations (MOPO) from a difficult to use document into a Matrix which serves as a tool that is useful and implementable at an operational level.

Steve began his career as a Petroleum Engineer rising through the ranks of Schlumberger Overseas Ltd to be a country manager responsible for all marketing and operational matters for major clients. Subsequent to this role Steve moved on and became involved in Operational and Technical HSE, Emergency and Crisis Management, Business Continuity development and general HSE implementation. In this capacity Steve has used his experience in Technical Safety Auditing and as a qualified Competence Assessor.

On a personal level, Steve is based out of Malaysia (living in Penang) where he is parent to two adopted daughters (from Ethiopia) and is committed to ensuring that they get the opportunities in life that were denied to them at an early age. Steve is also keeps fit and engages in outdoor activities.

Prior to this date, our consultants (based in Dubai) and associates performed work for CW International DMCC a Private Limited Company registered by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. The company was closed in June 2017 after a 13 year presence in Dubai free-zones DIC, JLT & DMCC, U.A.E.

Prior to being based in Dubai for 13 years, our consultants were based in Brunei, performing work for CW International Limited (a UK Private Limited Company).
